The corner building on the Markt has historically been known as "Wapen van Gelderland". The house dates from around 1500 and has a 17th century wooden shop front. The building still has a pothuys on the corner and on the side of the Markt there is an espalier linden tree in front of the door. In the past the house was used as a residence with a wine merchant's shop on the ground floor. The shop floor is now filled with an art shop, and on the upper floors larger works can be found by a great many different artists. The building has no fewer than 7 floors and can be visited completely free of charge. For current opening hours please visit www.markttwee.nl.
