Bommelweek 2026 a great success again

Bommelweek 2026 was once again a great success in the Hanseatic city of Zaltbommel. From 15 to 23 August, the city was full of events, adventure and experience. We are proud that together as Binnenstadsfonds, entrepreneurs and sponsors in collaboration with Ronde Tafel Bommelerwaard, we were able to present three beautiful cheques to three local initiatives in the Bommelerwaard.

Orange on the Market during the Hanseatic Days

Cities working together, people seeking each other out, a shared sense of pride and solidarity: these are the values that made the Hanse great and that will come to life again on 20 June at the Market Square of Zaltbommel.

Host families sought for the Hanseatic Weekend

During the Hanse Days of 20 and 21 June 2026, Zaltbommel will come alive as a true medieval Hanse city. Guest actors from across the country will bring crafts, trade and daily life from the Hanse era to life in the city centre. Think of blacksmiths, weavers, potters and merchants filling the streets, squares and quays with the hustle and bustle of days gone by. For about ten of these actors, host families are still being sought who are willing to accommodate them during the night of Saturday 20 to Sunday 21 June.
