On the left side of the Lange Strikstraat stands an old medieval wall with large bricks. The larger the brick, the older the structure. The bottom of the wall is covered with a layer of clay and loam, a kind of insulating layer. The protruding elements are buttresses to keep the wall upright. A silent witness of the Middle Ages, in the middle of the contemporary city.
